CrisisCrowd is an independent, non-commercial project created by Dan Fichter in the hope of empowering and enabling connections among crisis hotline staff.

Unlike other categories of first responders, crisis counselors do not have a professional association or other formal voice in the development of their own field. But they are profoundly skilled, and the care they give people in crisis every day is our nation’s frontline suicide prevention system. CrisisCrowd studies the work they do with an eye toward their insights and voices as instruments in shaping a more sustainable, consistent, and capable crisis care system.
